LETTA is an outward facing partnership committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
Our mission is to train and develop outstanding teachers, support staff and leaders for future generations of children. We share a common goal, which is to provide an exceptional education and opportunities for the children and communities we serve.
Train to teach
We offer:
- An outstanding inital teacher education training programme
- An opportunity to learn ‘on the job’ for the whole year of the course
- An extended support network of experienced teachers and mentors
- The opportunity to gain a PGCE with 60 Masters credits
- Personalised learning
ECT Induction
Our personalised induction programme is comprised of training delivered by a range of internationally and nationally recognised specialists, in addition to expertise drawn from local schools. ECTs have access to support from professional tutors, who are trained coaches and experienced teachers. This is balanced against time spent in schools carrying out gap tasks, consolidating new learning and engaging in peer review.
Apprenticeships
We are a registered apprenticeship training provider. Our level 3 teaching assistant apprenticeship is a salaried qualification that blends face-to-face and online learning with practical classroom experience. Our apprentices benefit from the support of a mentor, professional tutor, and access to specialist teaching.
Professional learning and leadership development
Our professional learning offer has been designed in collaboration with partner schools and responds to local and national needs. Our programmes and courses are led by skilled practitioners with experience working locally, nationally and internationally.
LETTA will also design bespoke professional development opportunities to meet the needs of your organisation. We will also negotiate bespoke service level agreements (SLAs) with organisations, by request. Please get in touch if you would like to know more.
School improvement
We offer a wide range of school improvement activities and work with school leaders to design a tailored package that is suited to the needs of each school. Our main aim is to support the professional learning of leaders at all levels. We achieve this through close partnership working, coaching and mentoring. Our school improvement professionals are all designated Local Leaders of Education (LLE).
